Divyangjan Kaushal Yojana

The scheme "Divyangjan Kaushal Yojana" was announced by the Hon'ble Finance Minister during the presentation of the Union Budget 2026-2027. The scheme is planned to be launched by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. The scheme aims to ensure dignified livelihood opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) by providing industry-relevant and customized training specific to each group. The scheme provides skill development in high-growth sectors such as Information Technology, Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics (AVGC), and hospitality, focusing on task-oriented and process-driven roles. The applicant must be a Person with Disability seeking employment-oriented skill training.

• Customized and industry-relevant training specific to the needs of each 'divyang' group.
• Skill development in high-growth sectors, including Information Technology, Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics (AVGC), Hospitality, and Food and Beverages.
• Access to task-oriented and process-driven job roles suitable for Persons with Disabilities.
• Support for securing dignified livelihood opportunities.
• A budgetary allocation of ₹2,00,00,00,000/- for the fiscal year 2026-27 to support the training initiatives.

• The applicant must be a Person with Disability (Divyangjan).
• The applicant must be eligible for skill training aimed at livelihood opportunities.

The scheme was announced by the Hon'ble Finance Minister during the presentation of the Union Budget 2026-2027.
