Details

The District Level Sports School scheme, initiated in 2013-14, aims to enable players to achieve the highest levels of success in sports at both national and international competitions. Under this scheme, players are selected through talent identification from the Young Talent and Proven Talent categories. Those selected receive admission to the district level sports school and are provided with benefits such as free education, accommodation, food, sports kits and uniforms, sports equipment, scientific training, and stipends. Expert coaches and trainers are employed to provide intensive training in various sports, and physiotherapists are available to address any accidental injuries during training.
