Details

The scheme "Distribution of Seeds of more productive varieties / Hybrid varieties Seeds and fertilizer at subsidies, etc. to Adivasi farmers in Tribal Area (TASP)" with a component "Field demonstration (TASP & OTASP)" is introduced by the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Co-operation Department, Government of Gujarat, aims to provide subsidized agricultural inputs to enhance productivity and livelihood of tribal farmers. Farmers belonging to scheduled tribes and tribal cultivators residing outside tribal areas can achieve higher production of agricultural crops and improve their livelihood by using plant protection equipment, tarpaulins, field demonstrations, micronutrients, agriculture fairs, water carrying pipelines, castor cake/neem cake/LFOM/green manure, pump sets, 100% water-soluble fertilizer, plant protection pesticides, etc. These tools and practices, when used according to scientific recommendations, can significantly increase crop production and, consequently, improve their livelihood.

Benefits

  • The assistance is provided within the limit of ₹4000/- for the demonstration of one acre (0.40 ha). A demonstration per account. Frequency of Disbursement: The benefit can be availed every years. Remark: As per conditions No. 5 16 17 19 and 22 of Appendix-1. (Refer Scheme No. 35). And condition number-14 is to provide the input material prescribed by the committee

Eligibility

  1. The applicant should belong to a Scheduled Tribe.
  2. The applicant should be a farmer.
  3. The applicant should be located in tribal areas OR be a tribal cultivator residing outside tribal areas.
  4. The scheme excludes farmers from Dang district.
