Details

The Devnarayan Scooty Distribution scheme aims to provide financial assistance and vehicle facilities to girls from the extremely backward classes in Rajasthan. This initiative encourages competition among students and aims to attract them towards higher education by providing scooters to those who score 50% or more in their 12th-grade examinations conducted by the Rajasthan Secondary Education Board or the Central Secondary Education Board, as well as in undergraduate and postgraduate degree examinations. The scheme has announced an increase in the number of scooters provided to girls from 20,000 to 30,000, with an option for electric scooters also being proposed.

Eligibility

  1. The applicant must be a girl from the extremely backward classes and a native of Rajasthan, currently enrolled in a government college or state-funded university, agricultural university/college, or Sanskrit university/college, having scored 50% or more in the previous year's examination.
  2. The annual income of the applicant's parents/guardians must be less than ₹2,00,000.
  3. The scheme is available to unmarried, married, widowed, and divorced girls.
  4. Students receiving financial aid from the Devnarayan scheme or any other scholarship are not eligible.
  5. Students with a gap year between their 12th grade and first year of undergraduate or final year of undergraduate or first year of postgraduate studies are not eligible.
  6. The previous year's examination must have been passed with a minimum of 50%.

Exclusions

Students receiving benefits from the Devnarayan scheme or any other scholarship are not eligible. Students with a gap year between their studies are also excluded.

  • Self-attested copy of marksheet from the previous year
  • Self-attested domicile certificate

  • Self-attested copy of bank passbook
  • Self-attested copy of Aadhar card
  • Bhamashah card
  • Affidavit stating no other scholarship is being received.
