Details

The Devnarayan Post Matric Scholarship Scheme is implemented by the Social Justice & Empowerment Department to promote the educational upliftment of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students. Launched in the year 2010-11, this scheme provides scholarships for students from the Extremely Backward Classes (EBC) studying from class 11 to PhD level.

Eligibility

  1. The student must be a permanent resident of Rajasthan.
  2. Students from Extremely Backward Classes (EBC) must provide a caste certificate issued by a Tehsildar or higher revenue officer.
  3. The annual income of the applicant's parents/guardians must not exceed ₹2,50,000.
  4. The scholarship is applicable for recognized post-matriculation courses at government or accredited institutions, excluding certain courses like Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and military college training programs.
  5. Students on unpaid leave can apply if they are studying full-time.
  6. All children of a single parent/guardian can benefit from the scheme.
  7. Students receiving this scholarship cannot accept any other scholarship; if they do, they must choose one and inform the approving authority.
  8. Self-attested copies of the previous year's mark sheet and fee receipt must be attached with the application.
  9. Students must apply online through the departmental website.

Exclusions

Students enrolled in certain courses such as Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, military college training programs, and other specific training centers are not eligible for this scholarship.
