Details

The Devnarayan Gurukul Yojana was initiated in the financial year 2011-12 by the Social Justice & Empowerment Department to support students from the Special Backward Class (SBC) studying in grades 6 to 12. This scheme aims to provide assistance in obtaining education by facilitating admission into recognized prestigious schools for students who are residents of Rajasthan, have passed the fifth-grade examination, and whose parents are not income taxpayers. The scheme allows for the admission of 500 students each year.

Eligibility

  1. Students from the Special Backward Class (SBC) studying in grades 6 to 12 who are residents of Rajasthan.
  2. Students must have passed the fifth-grade examination with at least a minimum grade of C.
  3. Parents of the students should not be income taxpayers.
  4. A maximum of two children from one parent can be eligible for admission and benefits.

Exclusions

Students whose parents are income taxpayers are not eligible.
