The scheme “Deendayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojana” launched by the Energy Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, aims to improve rural power supply through feeder separation, metering, system strengthening, and electrification works by providing free electricity connections to below-poverty-line households.

- - Free Electricity Connection: Free electricity connections are provided to 3,94,741 beneficiaries living below the poverty line. - Intensive Village Electrification: A total of 17,827 villages are covered under the scheme for comprehensive electrification. - Strengthening of Power Infrastructure: Feeder separation, metering, and distribution system strengthening works are carried out to ensure a reliable power supply
