Details

The Rajasthan state government has issued a cooperative credit policy for short-term crop loans dated July 11, 2018, and a circular from the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Rajasthan, Jaipur, dated March 27, 2019. This scheme aims to eliminate local discretion in the distribution of crop loans, making the process uniform, transparent, and systematic. Crop loans will be distributed to farmers through the Digital Member Register (DMR) after Aadhaar-based authentication. The entire process of applying for crop loans, from receiving applications from farmers to obtaining reimbursement from NABARD, is conducted online. Following discussions with the state's central cooperative banks, the Rajasthan State Cooperative Bank Ltd., Jaipur, has created a cooperative crop loan portal for the distribution of short-term crop loans, which will be executed through the portal after registration and Aadhaar-based authentication.
