The scheme "Construction of Water Storage Tanks for Drip Irrigation" introduced by the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Cooperation Department, Gujarat, aims to offer financial assistance to farmers for setting up cemented water tanks essential for efficient drip irrigation. It supports sustainable agriculture through water conservation, especially for horticultural practices.

Benefits

  • - Unit cost of construction: ₹1,00,000/- per tank. - For General category farmers: 50% subsidy, up to ₹50,000/-. - For SC/ST farmers: 75% subsidy, up to ₹75,000/-
  • Unit cost of construction: ₹1,00,000/- per tank. - For General category farmers: 50% subsidy, up to ₹50,000/-. - For SC/ST farmers: 75% subsidy, up to ₹75,000/-.

Eligibility

  1. The applicant must be a farmer.
  2. The applicant must be a resident of Gujarat.
  3. The applicant must plan to construct a cemented water storage tank of at least 25.50 cubic meters capacity.

Note: Cemented mature water tanks, drip set mandatory.

Step 1: The applicant may visit and apply online at I-Khedut Portal: https://ikhedut.gujarat.gov.in/
Step 2: On the home page, click on ‘Schemes’ and then click on ‘Agricultural Schemes’.
Step 3: Now select the scheme, click on the ‘Apply’ button and an application page will open.
Step 4: Click on "Apply New" button and submit a new application.
Step 5: Click on the "Update Application" button to add corrections to the application.
Step 6: Once the application is done, confirm it.
Step 7: Take a print out of the confirmed application.
