The scheme "Coaching Scheme for Divyang Students" by the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD), Dehradun, aims to empower students with benchmark disabilities by supporting their preparation for competitive exams such as SSC, RRB, Banking, Insurance, and UPSC. Through this scheme, free coaching, book allowance, transport/hostel allowance, disability and other allowances are provided to eligible candidates. The scheme is implemented by NIEPVD.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a student with a benchmark disability (40% or more) as defined.
  • The applicant must hold a valid disability certificate issued by a competent authority.
  • The applicant must possess a Unique Disability ID (UDID).
  • The applicant must have an Aadhaar number or Aadhaar enrollment number.
  • The total annual family income of the applicant should not exceed ₹8,00,000/-.

Exclusions

  • The applicant should not have availed benefits under any other coaching scheme of the Center or State Government.
