Details
The scheme "CA/ICWA CMA /CS Scholarship" by the Kerala State Minority Welfare Department aims to provide scholarships to students from minority religious communities studying Chartered Accounts/Cost & Management Accounts/Company Secretaryship courses. Eligibility
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Kerala.
- The applicant must belong to Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi, or Jain religious communities.
- The applicant's annual family income should be below ₹8,00,000/-.
- The applicant must be appearing for intermediate or final year examinations of Chartered Accounts, Cost & Management Accounts, or Company Secretaryship courses.
- The applicant must have secured 60% marks in Plus Two/B.Com or other degrees.
- The applicant should have an account in any nationalised bank in their own name.
Preference/Priority/Reservation/Relaxation:
- Preference will be given to applicants belonging to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category.
- In the absence of BPL applicants, applicants from minority religious communities with an annual income up to ₹8,00,000/- in the Above Poverty Line (APL) category will be considered.
- Selection will be based on merit and income.
Exclusions
- Applicants who have received this scholarship in previous years are not eligible to apply.
Application Process
Online
Step 1: Visit the official website of the Directorate of Minority Welfare.
Step 2: Locate and click on the "Scholarship".
Step 3: Navigate to the "Scholarship" menu link and click on "CA/ICWA (CMA)/CS Scholarship (IWCS)".
Step 4: Click on "Apply Online".
Step 5: For new scholarship applicants, first complete one-time registration and log in with your candidate details.
Step 6: In the Registration Form, carefully enter the details step-by-step under Examination details (register number/roll number), Personal details, and Scholarship details tabs.
Step 7: In the Upload details tab, upload the required documents (Photo, Signature, SSLC Certificate, Income Certificate, Ration Card Copy, Allotment Memo) in JPEG format under 100 KB size each.
Step 8: Only after uploading all required documents, the registration process will be considered complete.
Step 9: After completing the application submission, use the View/Print Application link to take a printout of the application form.
Submission of Application Printout
- After submitting the scholarship application (either through new registration or login), click on "View/Print Application" to get a printout of your registration form.
- Submit the printout of the registration form along with all the required supporting documents to the head of the institution where you are studying, within the specified deadline.
