The scheme “Award Scheme for Candidates Selected in NDA, IMA, OTA, INA, IAF” was introduced by the Higher Education Department, Government of Uttarakhand. This scheme aims to recognize and reward candidates from Uttarakhand who have been selected for service at premier defence academies such as NDA, IMA, OTA, INA, and IAF.

Eligibility
- The candidate must be a native or permanent resident of Uttarakhand.
- The candidate should have been selected for service at one of the premier defence academies, such as National Defence Academy (NDA), Indian Military Academy (IMA), Officers Training Academy (OTA), Indian Naval Academy (INA) or Indian Air Force (IAF).
- The applicant must either be currently undergoing training at the respective academy or have been formally inducted into the defence service.
- The candidate must have successfully completed the relevant training and course.
Application Process
Offline
- Candidates must apply after being selected for the service and completing their training. They should download the application form from the Department of Higher Education’s website at https://he.uk.gov.in/ and attach the following documents: the candidate’s Aadhaar card, PAN card, bank account details, permanent residence certificate, appointment letter, training certificate, proof of joining after training (if applicable), and a declaration stating that they have not previously availed the benefit of this scheme. - The completed application form, along with the attached documents, must be submitted to the Directorate of Higher Education, Haldwani. After preliminary scrutiny of applications at the Directorate level, an amount of ₹50,000 is released from the government every six months.
