- Every year, targets are assigned to the districts. The districts allocate targets to the development blocks on the basis of population. Applications are received at the development block level.
- It is mandatory to attach the caste certificate, income certificate, photograph, Aadhaar card, CBS Aadhaar-seeded/linked bank account details, and property documents with the application.

From the applications received, eligible beneficiaries are selected by a committee comprising the Chief Development Officer, Block Development Officer, and District Social Welfare Officer.
