The scheme “Assistance to the Fishermen for Purchase of Fisheries Requisites” has been implemented by the Department of Fisheries, UT Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. The scheme aims to provide one-time financial assistance in the form of a subsidy for the purchase of essential fisheries-related equipment, including support for the installation of IBM engines, procurement of electrical or solar equipment, and the purchase of insulated ice boxes for fish storage.

Benefits

1. Installation of Inboard Motor (IBM) Engine through Bank Loan
For engine cost up to ₹1,00,000/-: 20% subsidy, a maximum of ₹20,000/-
For engine cost up to ₹3,00,000/-: 15% subsidy, a maximum of ₹45,000/-
The subsidy is applicable only when the IBM engine is installed through a bank loan. 1. Electrical or Solar Equipment
For equipment cost up to ₹40,000/-: 50% subsidy, a maximum of ₹20,000/-. 1. Insulated Ice Boxes for Fish Storage
For fisherwomen: 75% subsidy, a maximum of ₹6,000/-
For boat owners: 50% subsidy, a maximum of ₹15,000/-

Eligibility

The applicant must be a resident of the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.
The applicant must be a fisherman.
