Details
The Assistance Program for Plantation of Kamalam Fruit (Dragon fruit) provides financial assistance to farmers for the plantation of dragon fruit. The unit cost for plantation is Rs. 6,00,000 per hectare. General caste farmers are eligible for 50% of the cost or a maximum of Rs. 3,00,000, whichever is less. Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) farmers can receive 75% of the cost or a maximum of Rs. 4,50,000 per hectare, whichever is less. This assistance is aimed at promoting the cultivation of dragon fruit in the state.
