Details

The scheme provides financial assistance for the construction of water storage tanks specifically designed for drip irrigation. The unit cost for each water storage tank is set at Rs. 1.00 lakh. General farmers are eligible for assistance of 50% of the unit cost, capped at a maximum of Rs. 50,000 per unit. In contrast, Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) farmers can receive 75% of the unit cost, with a maximum limit of Rs. 75,000 per unit. The tanks must be cemented and paved, and a minimum capacity of 25.50 cubic meters is required. Beneficiaries must obtain an expenditure certificate from a government valuer, taluka surveyor, or MNREGA scheme surveyor to validate the cost of the water tank. This assistance is available only once per account and can be applied for through the i-Khedut Portal.
