In contrast, Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) farmers can receive 75% of the unit cost, with a maximum limit of Rs. 75,000 per unit. The tanks must be cemented and paved, and a minimum capacity of 25.50 cubic meters is required. Beneficiaries must obtain an expenditure certificate from a government valuer, taluka surveyor, or MNREGA scheme surveyor to validate the cost of the water tank. This assistance is available only once per account and can be applied for through the i-Khedut Portal.
