The Assistance for Area Expansion in Fruit crops scheme provides financial support for the expansion of fruit crop cultivation in Gujarat. It includes assistance for high-density and ultra-high-density plantations of fruits such as mango, guava, lemon, and pomegranate, with a maximum assistance of Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 40,000 per hectare, limited to 4 hectares per beneficiary. Additionally, it offers support for the new cultivation of tissue banana fruit crops, providing up to 40% of the incurred expenditure or a maximum of Rs. 50,000, whichever is less, also limited to 4 hectares per beneficiary. For papaya fruit crops, the scheme provides assistance of 50% of the cost or a maximum of Rs. 30,000 per hectare.
