Details

The Amrita Haat initiative was launched by the Women Empowerment Directorate in Rajasthan in the year 2004-05. It aims to provide maximum opportunities for the display and marketing of products created or value-added by women's self-help groups and women entrepreneurs. This activity, which started at the national level, has gradually expanded to reach divisional and district levels. In addition to these Haat markets, women self-help groups are also given opportunities to participate in events like Shilpgram festivals and fairs organized by other departments to sell their products.
