Details
The Accredited Journalist Free Bus Travel Facility provides 100% fare exemption for accredited journalists traveling in air-conditioned and Volvo buses operated by the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) for journeys within the state and to Delhi. This facility has been effective since September 10, 2015, following a budget announcement in the 2015-16 fiscal year that initially offered a 50% discount on fares. Subsequently, a budget announcement in 2016-17 allowed for free travel instead of the 50% discount, applicable to all air-conditioned and Volvo buses for accredited journalists, who are issued a special RFID card. The reimbursement for this facility is managed by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations through the Journalist and Literary Welfare Fund.
