Subsequently, a budget announcement in 2016-17 allowed for free travel instead of the 50% discount, applicable to all air-conditioned and Volvo buses for accredited journalists, who are issued a special RFID card. The reimbursement for this facility is managed by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations through the Journalist and Literary Welfare Fund.
