"A Program to Provide 90 Percent Assistance in Planting Material of Horticultural Fruit Crops" introduced by the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Cooperation Department, Gujarat, aims to support farmers by providing 90% subsidy on the cost of planting materials like grafted/tissue culture saplings and seedlings for various fruit crops.

Pre-fixed assistance rates per hectare for different crops: Fruit Assistance Mango₹32,000/haSapota (Chiku)₹22,000/haPomegranate₹20,000/haGuava₹16,650/haAonla (Indian Gooseberry)₹5,560/haMandarin / Orange₹5,560/haBer₹2,780/haCoconut₹13,000/ha Note:
  • Only saplings costing up to ₹250/- per unit are eligible for subsidy
  • For fruit crops and cuttings: Planting material will have to be purchased from nurseries accredited by NHB/Agricultural University/Horticulture Department.- For coconut crops: seedlings prepared from seeds will have to be purchased from nurseries accredited by NHB/Agricultural University/Horticulture Department.- For tissue culture: Planting material (planting) will have to be purchased from tissue labs approved/accredited by DBT, GNFC, GSFC, Tissue Labs of Agricultural University, Government Public Institutions like

  3. The applicant must purchase planting materials from approved/accredited sources.

Step 1: The applicant may visit and apply online at I-Khedut Portal: https://ikhedut.gujarat.gov.in/
Step 2: On the home page, click on ‘Schemes’ and then click on ‘Agricultural Schemes’.
Step 3: Now select the scheme, click on the ‘Apply’ button and an application page will open.
Step 4: Click on "Apply New" button and submit a new application.
Step 5: Click on the "Update Application" button to add corrections to the application.
Step 6: Once the application is done, confirm it.
Step 7: Take a print out of the confirmed application.
