Details

UDID Card or Unique Disability Identity card is an initiative by Government of India with a view of creating a National Database for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs). Under the UDID project Disability Certificate and Unique Disability Identity Card is issued to each PwD through online platform https://www.swavlambancard.gov.in/ by the competent medical authorities notified by the State/UT Government. UDID project aims to encourage transparency, efficiency and ease of delivering the government benefits to the person with disabilities, and to ensure uniformity.

Eligibility

Any person suffering from 21 types of specified disabilities as listed in the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

Application Process

Online

The applicant applies through the swavlamban portal. The doctors through their login access the applications and after physical assessment, remarks are submitted on the portal. Accordingly, UDID Cards are issued.
