Details
The Scheme of Old Age Assistance provides financial support to individuals aged 60 years and above who lack adequate means of support. This initiative aims to assist elderly residents of Delhi, ensuring they have a stable source of income. Eligible beneficiaries receive monthly payments directly into their bank accounts.
Documents required with the application
(A.) Proof of residence,- any one of the documents listed below (which clearly show at least 5 years of residence in Delhi)

Death certificate issued by MCD/Registrar-Births & Deaths
Insurance policy document
Immunization card of any family member
Medical records of treatment in Delhi
Electricity Bill

Gas connection receipt
Bank passbook
Caste certificate issued in Delhi
Student I-card
Service identity card of public/private sector company/ established concern
Property document
Any other document which clearly shows at least 5 years of residence in Delhi

(C.) A self-declaration by the applicant regarding his/her family income as given in the form.
(D.) The form also needs to be recommended by a Gazetted Officer of Central/State Govt. or MP/MLA and the accompanying documents should also be attested.
(E.) In case "No Documentary Evidence" is available with the applicant in r/o proof of residence, i) the applicant will need to produce statements of any of the two witnesses from the following list, stating the period of applicant's length of stay in Delhi-
Public representative such as MP of the area, MLA of the area,
President or General Secretary of RWA of the locality
Two neighbours of the applicant with their contact details
Registered women SHGs'/Mahila Mandal's President or General Secretary
ICDS Supervisors/ ASHA workers of the area
Gazetted Officer of the Central/Delhi Govt. ii) Along with the witness's statement, the relevant document for the photo identity proof, residence and length of saty for the witnesses shall also have to be appended with the application, clearly showing that the witnesses themselves have been around in the same for all except Public representative such as MP/MLA of the area. Other conditions
- It will be obligatory for the beneficiary to inform of any change in address and/or bank details like change in bank, a/c no. Etc. Note : Decision will be taken within 45 days on all the applications received under the scheme.
Benefits
- Beneficiaries aged 60-69 years receive ₹2 000per month remitted quarterly with an additional ₹500per month for SC/ST/Minority community members. Those aged 70 years and above receive ₹2 500per month also remitted quarterly. Payments are made through the Public Financial Management System (PFMS)

Eligibility
Applicants must be 60 years or older, residents of Delhi for at least 5 years, with an annual family income not exceeding ₹1,00,000. They should not be receiving any other pension or financial assistance for this purpose and must have an Aadhaar number or be enrolled for one.
