Promotion of Patriotism/National Integration/Communal Harmony - Interschool Choreographic Dance Competition

The scheme "Promotion of Patriotism/National Integration/Communal Harmony - Interschool Choreographic Dance Competition" was launched by the Tiatr Academy under the Art, Culture and Museums Department, Government of Goa. The scheme aims to inculcate values of patriotism, national integration, and communal harmony in children through an inter-school competition of choreographic dancing on Konkani songs focused on these themes. The scheme provides monetary prizes ranging from ₹3,000/- to ₹10,000/- along with mementos and certificates for winners, and traveling allowances ranging from ₹2,000/- to ₹4,000/- based on distance traveled by participating groups. The applicant must be an educational institution with a dance group consisting of not less than 6 or more than 10 dancers and must perform on only one patriotic song in Konkani. The scheme is implemented by Tiatr Academy of Goa and applications for this scheme are accepted offline with the submission of a physical application form along with a recorded copy of the song on Compact Disc.

Monetary Benefits

Prize Money for Standard 1st-4th Category

• 1st Prize: ₹7,000/- plus memento and certificate.
• 2nd Prize: ₹5,000/- plus memento and certificate.
• 3rd Prize: ₹3,000/- plus memento and certificate.
• Best Choreographer: ₹3,000/- plus memento and certificate.

Prize Money for Standard 5th-10th Category

• 1st Prize: ₹10,000/- plus memento and certificate.
• 2nd Prize: ₹7,000/- plus memento and certificate.
• 3rd Prize: ₹5,000/- plus memento and certificate.
• Best Choreographer: ₹3,000/- plus memento and certificate.

Traveling Allowance

• Groups from within 10 kilometers radius: ₹2,000/-.
• Groups from more than 10 kilometers and less than 20 kilometers: ₹3,000/-.
• Groups from 20 kilometers or more distance: ₹4,000/-.

Non-Monetary Benefits

• Mementos and certificates for all prize winners.
• Refreshments provided for participants and their in-charge.
• Recognition and exposure through inter-school competition platform.

• The applicant must be an educational institution.
• The applicant must form a dance group consisting of not less than 6 dancers.
• The applicant must form a dance group consisting of not more than 10 dancers.
• The applicant must choose to participate in either Standard 1st-4th category or Standard 5th-10th category.
• The applicant must perform on only one patriotic song in Konkani language.
• The applicant must not use fusion of different songs in their performance.
• The applicant must provide a recorded copy of the song on Compact Disc along with the application form.

Compliance Requirements

• The applicant must read and understand all rules and regulations of the organization.
• The applicant must abide by all competition rules and regulations.
• The applicant must accept that the decision of the panel of judges will be final and binding.
• The applicant must accept that Tiatr Academy of Goa reserves the right to make any changes in the rules.

Offline

Step 1: The interested applicant should take a printout of the prescribed format of the application form.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required). Sign the application form and mention the date.

*Applicants are advised to save a copy of the submitted application form and any acknowledgment.
*The application must be submitted to the office of the Tiatr Academy of Goa at least 30 days in advance of the proposed programme date.
*The competition permits only 25 participants on first come first serve basis.
