Details

Launched on January 15, 2021, the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 3.0 aims to empower the youth of India and further the Skill India Mission, establishing India as the skill capital of the world. This phase focuses on skill development to meet industry needs and market demands, especially in new-age job roles that have emerged due to the COVID-19 pandemic. PMKVY 3.0 incorporates lessons from previous phases and will be implemented in a decentralized manner with support from States/UTs and Districts. District Skill Committees (DSCs) will assess local skill gaps and demand. The scheme targets over 800,000 candidates in FY 2020-2021 with a budget of INR 948.90 crores, focusing on youth aged 15-45 years. It includes a Central Component managed by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and a State Component managed by State Skill Development Missions (SSDMs).

Eligibility

Youth aged 15-45 years from all categories including SC, ST, OBC, General, Minority, EWC, and SBC can apply. Required documents include:

  • Aadhar Card Copy
  • Voter ID Copy
  • Bank Passbook Copy
  • Passport Size Photo
