The "Installation of Cages in Reservoirs Scheme" was launched by the Ministry Of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of India, under the umbrella scheme "Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana". It aims to promote sustainable aquaculture practices by supporting cage fish farming in water bodies. Under this scheme, a grant of ₹3,00,000/- per unit to the individuals and groups for setting up cage fish farms, thereby encouraging entrepreneurship, increasing fish production, and generating employment.

Benefits

  • Grant Amount:
  • ₹3,00,000/- per unit (per cage). Grant Proportion:
  • 40% of unit cost for General Category beneficiaries 60% of unit cost for Scheduled Caste/Women beneficiaries. Cage Limit for Assistance:
  • Up to 5 cages for individual farmers
  • Up to 20 cages for registered cooperative societies/self-help groups/joint liability groups (with at least 10 members)

Grant Amount:

Eligibility

  1. The applicant should be an individual farmer, cooperative society, self-help group, or joint liability group.
  2. The cooperative society, self-help group, or joint liability group having a minimum of 10 members.
  3. The applicant must possess a Family Identity Card (Parivar Pehchan Patra).
  4. The applicant must obtain prior permission from the Government of Haryana and competent authorities.
  5. The cage location must have year-round water availability and a minimum of 8 meters depth.
  6. The applicant should take government permission for rearing exotic fish species.

Registration Process on Antyodaya-SARAL Portal:

Step 1: Visit the Official Portal: Antyodaya-SARAL Portal.
Step 2: For registration, click on “New User/Register Here” and fill in all the mandatory details,i.e., Name, Email ID, Mobile Number & password. Click on ‘Submit’.
Step 3: Verify the OTP received in the provided Email and Mobile Number. Alternatively, click on the Verification Link to activate the profile.

Login to Apply for the Scheme:

Step 1: Visit the Official Portal: Antyodaya-SARAL Portal.
Step 2: The “Sign in here” option is available on the right side of the screen. Fill in the required credentials and click on the ‘Login’ button.
Step 3: In the opened window, click on “Scheme/Services list”, and a list of schemes will appear on the screen.
Step 4: Now, select the scheme and click on “Apply for Service/Scheme”.
Step 5: Fill in all the details in the online application form and click on "Submit".
