The PM-Surya Ghar:Muft Bijli Yojna provides subsidies for residential households to install solar power systems. The scheme offers a subsidy of Rs. 30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW of capacity, and Rs. 18,000 per kW for additional capacity up to 3 kW. For systems larger than 3 kW, the total subsidy is capped at Rs. 78,000. Additionally, Group Housing Societies (GHS) and Resident Welfare Associations (RWA) can receive a subsidy of Rs. 18,000 per kW for common facilities, including EV charging, with a total capacity of up to 500 kW, which includes individual rooftop plants installed by residents.
