Details

The Pashu Mitra Yojana (PMY) is being launched under point number 185 of the budget announcement for 2023-24 to benefit livestock farmers through various services provided by the Animal Husbandry Department at their doorstep. These services include tagging, vaccination, insurance, artificial insemination for breed improvement, and pregnancy testing. To implement this scheme, 5000 unemployed youth will be trained as livestock assistants/veterinarians and will receive a predetermined honorarium based on their performance. They will be recognized under the scheme as 'Pashu Mitra'.

Eligibility

Veterinary graduates with a B.V.Sc and AH degree or a two-year AHDP diploma can apply.
