The scheme “Operation/Implementation of Vidhik Seva Rath” has been implemented by the Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority, Nainital, under the Department of Law, Government of Uttarakhand. It aims to spread legal awareness and provide information about welfare schemes to people in both urban and remote rural areas, ensuring that citizens are informed about their rights and available government benefits.
Benefits
- - Under the public awareness programme, the mobile van of the State Legal Services Authority, "Vidhik Seva Rath", is sent to visit every urban area and remote rural areas of two to three districts every month and various welfare schemes run by the central and state government are shown through films
- The book "Saral Kanooni Gyan Mala" published on various subjects is distributed free of cost

Eligibility
- The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
- All residents of the areas visited by the van can benefit from these programs. The team members assigned to the tour inform the public about the schemes using a projector installed in the "Vidhik Seva Rath".

Offline
- When the Vidhik Seva Rath visits an area, relevant information can be obtained, and for receiving books, the name, address/telephone/mobile number, and signature of the concerned person are recorded in the book distribution register. The books are provided free of cost.
- Information about the arrival of the Vidhik Seva Rath in your area is shared through paralegal volunteers, whose names, mobile numbers, and other details are available on the Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority website: www.slsa.uk.gov.in. - If any person, woman, or child is in urgent need of the books mentioned above, they can obtain them by submitting a written request to the District Authority's office at the district headquarters. No documents or identity cards are required for this purpose.
