The scheme “Ex-Gratia Grant for Clothes, Utensils, and Household Items to Disaster-Affected Families” is implemented by the Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority under the Department of Disaster Management, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to disaster-affected families for clothes, utensils, or household items in cases where their house has been washed away, completely or substantially damaged due to a natural calamity, or affected by waterlogging for a period of more than two days.

Benefits

  • Under this scheme an ex-gratia grant of ₹2 500/- per family is provided for damage to clothes and an additional ex-gratia grant of ₹2 500/- per family is provided for damage to utensils or household items

Eligibility

  1. The beneficiary must be a disaster-affected family from Uttarakhand whose house has been affected by a natural disaster.

Application Process

Offline

Information about the disaster and the resulting damage is received from various sources. The concerned Patwari verifies the damage and records it in the P-20 form. The Patwari’s report is subsequently verified by the Tehsildar and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate. Approval is then obtained from the District Magistrate. Once the District Magistrate’s approval is received, relief funds are disbursed to the concerned beneficiaries at the Tehsil level.
