Details

The scheme aims to ensure the holistic and sustainable development of tribal areas and communities, building on the learnings and success of the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PMJANMAN). It focuses on addressing long-standing developmental gaps faced by tribal populations, particularly in remote and underserved regions, by adopting a comprehensive and need-based approach.

A key feature of the scheme is inter-ministerial convergence, which ensures coordinated efforts across various sectors. Under this approach, 17 ministries of the Government of India work together to deliver benefits and services to tribal communities. Instead of isolated interventions, the scheme integrates resources, expertise, and programs from multiple departments to achieve greater efficiency and impact.

The scheme identifies 25 focused interventions across critical sectors such as education, healthcare, nutrition, livelihood, infrastructure, skill development, and social security. These interventions are designed to improve the overall quality of life of tribal populations while preserving their cultural identity and promoting inclusive growth.
