The “Dastkar Prashikshan” scheme was launched by the Department of Skill Development and Employment, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide benefits to the youth of the state by connecting them with private-sector employment or self-employment opportunities through skills training offered at district ITIs.

Eligibility
- The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
- The applicant must have passed Class 8 or Class 10.
- The fee is currently fixed at ₹4,000/- per annum.

Application Process
Online
- The department announces the ITI admission process through advertisements. Admissions are conducted between July and September each year.
- Applications can be submitted through the website www.vpputtarakhand.in. - Applicants must provide an Aadhaar card, all applicable reservation certificates, a permanent residence certificate, a bank account number, and a mobile number.
- Admission is finally granted after an online counseling process based on merit.
